Bavas Kennel started with its first Labrador in January of 2004.  Cookie is the very first Labrador of Chris, while Aimee’s family already has a black Labrador Bitch, Jaya of Jocelyn Jeanne (Jaya), a line breeding of Ph Gr Ch Visions Lord of the Rings (USA) "Brutus", Sire of Merit. By June of 2004, Chris acquired another puppy bitch, Tara of Sta. Monica (Crinkle). She is supposedly the foundation bitch of the kennel. They thought that Crinkle would be the last acquisition of our kennel, but there came the opportunity to co-own bitches with Mel Bello of Eastbrook Kennel, a yearling black bitch, Eastbrook For Heaven Sake "Frankie" and also a 6 month black bitch named  Eastbrook Heaven Sent, "Hannah", who is the only daughter in the Philippines of NZ Int Ch Croftsway Komic Book (NZ)  “Martin”.

March of 2005 was the time when Bavas Kennel became the home of their 1st Philippine Champion, Sunshadow Devious Course, "Churry".  Churry is a 5 year old bitch, by Ph Gr Ch Veyatie Driving Along (Sco) "Chuck", Sire of Merit  x  Ph Ch Guidelines Mesquite Juniper (Swe) "Mary".  Churry is co-owned with Rene Miranda of Brukbound Labradors.

Bavas Kennel was the home of only bitches not until August of 2005.  The first Labrador Stud of Bavas Kennel is Ph Ch Angelfields Orca, a Ph Gr Am Ch Lenches Gallivant (UK) "George" son.  Orca is co-owned with Bernie Concepcion of Angelfields Labradors.
